Traversing draperies are draperies or curtains that are meant to be opened and closed on a regular basis. These can be cord draw, baton draw, or manually operated. There are numerous heading styles available as well as different pleating systems. The two main pleating systems, Ripplefold and Accordiafold, are mainly used in commercial locations although they are also suitable for residential use. Hardware available to mount the draperies runs the gamut from a plain white traverse rod to an elaborate decorative rod. Iris Window Coverings has extensive experience in all aspects of drapery fabrication and installation.
