Generally, sustainability is concerned with addressing social, economic and environmental needs. Societal considerations include the needs of upcoming generations, effects on health from contact with toxins and quality of life concerns. Economic considerations deal with cost and waste. Environmental considerations include optimizing the utilization of resources and utilizing resources that are renewable.
